Not A Yahoo Boy? Naira Marley finally released from EFCC custody, goes flexing with Olamide (See video)

Earlier today it was reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Comission, EFCC, arrested popular Nigerian Musician, Naira Marley and ‘Zanku’ crooner Omomniyi Temidayo popularly Zlatan Ibile to profile them in order to establish their affiliations with internet fraudsters popularly called ‘yahoo yahoo’.

Following the arrest of the singer which is currently making headlines across various media outlets, the ‘Am I a yahoo boy’ hitmaker has been set free.

Although there’re no details yet as to how he was released or the criteria’s he met to secure his freedom, but a new video circulating online shows well-wishers excited to see their friend come out unhurt.

Naira marley is not a Yahoo boy

Shortly after his release, the singer was seen hanging out with rapper, Olamide.

Naira Marley was earlier today invited by EFCC for questioning concerning advance fee fraud issues know as Yahoo.

Meanwhile, a top source at the EFCC had earlier revealed to SaharaReporters that the graft agency seized their laptops and phones to conduct forensics to determine their link to cybercrime.

The source added that of the two artistes are also under the agency’s investigation for songs and comments glorifying cybercrime; most recently “Am i a yahoo boy?” released on Thursday.

While Marley was still in custody, some Nigerian entertainers had taken to their social handles to call for the release of the singer.

On Instagram, Davido posted his picture and called for his release.

“MARLIAN !! Freee bro!!!! Nothing spoil!! I got u!!!”, he posted.

Nigeria Police PRO in Zone 2, Dolapo Badmus in her response mocked the artiste.

“The only authentic NAIRA I know is Nigeria’s legal tender. Any other naira attached to something is a counterfeit!”, she wrote.

Popular London based Nigerian online influencer Oyemkke also responded to the Police PRO, stating that Naira Marley isn’t Nigeria’s problem and the young lad should be free’d. See his reaction below…
